Various Cloaks

Debut - 1996    Status - For Sale

I think the first cloak I ever made was for my Dracula costume when I was about 10 years old.  Over the years I've made quite a few more and here are three examples of em!

The first one I made was the black velvet.  I wanted a new cloak to wear for when I first started attending Rocky Horror.  So I went into Boston and bought 10 yards of black crushed velvet and satin and got to work.  It has lasted me since then and aside from a little sun washing out it is still great!

The sheer cloak on here was for one of my dryad costumes.  I saw the fabric in the store and fell in love with it; its a pale green silk that absolutely shimmers.  I took it home, sewed it into a cloak and then proceeded to handsew irridecent green beads into each of the flowers centers.  Alot of work!

The salmon colored cloak is for my Mara Jade costume; I stumbled upon the perfect fabric for it in the clearance section of the fabric store and a day later I had a cloak.

Cloaks take a boatload of fabric but they are fun to make and are so dramatic when they are done!

The Cloak below is made of green velvet and is based off of the 'Fellowship' cloaks from LOTR.
