Three Tiered Skirt

This fun skirt is quite deceiving to look at. It looks like a normal skirt but actually has over 10 yards of fabric at its hem! You can grab the sides of the hem and lift them up over your head and you'd still have skirt in front of you! :) I made this skirt to use for bellydance but it has found its way into my clubbing repertoire as well. Paired with the tie blouse I made and a black satin corset and I can dance the night away. It's really fun to swing around in while dancing! This skirt is made out of lightweight black cotton and has a drawstring waist. The bottom tier of the skirt has over 10 yards of fabric, the middle over 5 and the tip about 2 and a half. ALOT of work to put together but well worth it. I've made this style of skirt several times out of many different fabrics including a fabric that had mirrors built into it. And all of them look great! |
