The Senate Gown

This was my favorite gown from Episode II. I literally squeaked when Padme walked onscreen wearing this. The flame pattern on the velvet is what really caught my eye aside from the deep purple color. I will say that I detest Padme's hair in this. Yuck! In my opinion the hairpiece doesn't match the gown at all but ah well, what can ya do. That will be exceptionally difficult to re-create Im sure but I have seen it done before so I know its possible. Not sure when I will be able to get started on this costume as it will be rather costly to create. The silk velvet it pretty pricey and I'll need quite a bit of it. I originally planned to do this for DragonCon 2002 but it got pushed back in favor of other costumes. As I've done so much research on this costume already I know I'll get to it eventually. |
